Village Offices Closed to the Public from Dec. 13th until Further Notice

​Special Council Meeting     12-10-2021
RE:  Emergency Directive for Covid-19
Present:  Mayor Jill McKelvey, Patty Kauffman, Jayne Griffith, Brenda Coy, Al Hyland, Bev Yoder.
 
These emergency measures are necessary for the health and safety of our village employees.   We have 3 out of 11 village employees that have tested positive for Covid 19.  These measures will be enforced beginning Monday, December 13, 2021 and lasting unless/until Mayor McKelvey deems the current trend has decreased enough to lift these restrictions.  

The Clerk’s Office at Town Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.  Appointments can be made with the clerk if a matter cannot be resolved over the phone by calling 937-465-2716.
Guidelines as follows:
  1. If an employee is asymptomatic, but tests positive for Covid-19 via a home test then we require a test from a clinic or Dr. Office with the results to be faxed to clerk’s office at 937-465-4072. If  test  is still positive employee is to be off work x 10 days and cannot return to work unless Asymptomatic  AND a normal temperature check is obtained by one of our EMS employees 24 hours prior to return to work.  Motion made by Al Hyland, second by Brenda Coy.  Motion passed unanimously.  
  2. Exposure with a negative Covid test we will follow CDC guidelines. Vaccinated individuals who have been exposed to someone with suspected or confirmed Covid-19 are not required to quarantine IF they meet the following criteria:  The individual is fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks following receiving the required dosage, the individual has remained asymptomatic since the current exposure. Individuals who do not meet these criteria should continue to follow current quarantine guidelines.  Fully vaccinated individuals who do not quarantine should still watch for symptoms of Covid-19 for 14 days following the exposure.  Motion made by Jayne Griffith, seconded by Brenda Coy.  Motion passed unanimously.
  3. Cleaning protocols; All buildings and shared village vehicles are to be sanitized with sanitizer/fogger at the end of each shift. Motion made by Bev Yoder, seconded by Brenda Coy.  Motion passed unanimously.
  4. Any time an employee has interaction with the public they MUST wear a mask. Motion made by Al Hyland seconded by Bev Yoder. Passed unanimously.
  5. Any time an individual in a village vehicle with another individual they MUST wear masks. Motion made by Al Hyland seconded by Bev Yoder.  Passed unanimously.
  6. Mandated masks for all meetings and we will be putting partitions back in place. All guests must also wear a mask or will not be admitted to meeting. Motion made by Al Hyland seconded by Bev Yoder.
  7. Assistant Clerk shall be required to wear a mask upon return to work anytime dealing with the public.
THIS EMERGENCY DIRECTIVE WILL GO INTO EFFECT BEGINNING DEC 13, 2021.
