West Liberty Village Council has temporarily amended Village Ordinance 509.08 to lower the curfew time for unaccompanied minors from 11pm to 8:30pm effective today (3/23/20) and lasting 30 days or until suspended by council. Any unaccompanied minor out past 8:30pm will be contacted by The West Liberty Police or any other Law Enforcement agency. Also, reminder that the Governor's stay at home order goes in effect at 11:59pm tonight (3/23/20).

Effective 3/16/2020, I have ordered the Village of West Liberty Clerks' Office and Fire Department to be closed to public access to prevent the spread of COVID-19. You can still drop off payments at the drop box on the side of the building or pay online.

If you have any questions or need to speak to the Village Clerk, you can call 937-465-2716, and if you need to contact the Fire Department for non-emergency business calls, you can call 937-465-3989.

It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of two longtime Village of West Liberty public servants in the past week.

Robert "Bob" Foughty  whom served on 40 years with the West Liberty Fire Department and was an original member of West Liberty EMS during its founding.

Francis "Fran" Salyers whom served 30+ years with the West Liberty Fire Department.  Fran retired as an Assistant Chief.  He also worked for the Village of West Liberty 23 years and served several years on the West Liberty Board of Public Affairs.

​Let us remember both of these gentlemen, the sacrifices and commitment they made.  Both served the Village of West Liberty with honor and we as a Village are forever grateful for them! Godspeed to the both of them!
