We’re excited to update you on everything happening with the WLBA. Reflecting on the last year, we’re grateful for the chance to hold events, gather as a community, and support local businesses. Thank you for being part of our Association. We look forward to continuing to serve you and strengthen our community and commerce. We hope this message finds you well. Here are some highlights from this year:
  • Annual Dinner meeting in January at the Opera House to celebrate a successful year of events, and bringing commerce to West Liberty with our members
  • Hello Spring Shop Hop in March with the Easter Bunny in partnership with the Lion’s Club/WL Historical Society
  • The Summer Street Market and Car Show June 28! This took place for the first year at the Lion’s Park, along with The Force Ball Tournament, the Lion's Club Fish Fry, and the Fireworks – it included local vendors and food trucks; more than 60 cars participated, and we had 4 live musicians who provided musical entertainment all day! This is already scheduled for next year and we are so excited to continue this great event!
  • 3rd Annual Summer Garden Tour July 26.  It was a great success with 8 beautiful stops!
  • Sponsored the Lion’s Labor Day Festival Family Day, and Concert Labor Day weekend
  • Awarded 4- $500 scholarships to WLS students, using funds from Christmas Tour of Homes, Home & Garden Tours and generous donations from sponsors.
  • West Liberty Business of the Month to recognize local businesses and that has been a great success! It has been an opportunity for the community to learn about our local businesses and we would like to continue this!
  • West Liberty CA$H MOB monthly event, which has brought lots of business to our area stores!  This has been an incredible way to introduce shoppers to our local retail businesses!
  • 3rd annual Spooktacular event in downtown West Liberty October 23 during trick or treat. This was a very well attended event and a great success!
  • Christmas Wreath Silent Auction at Thomans’s IGA – auctioned off 12 Christmas wreaths this year!
  • West Liberty Christmas in the Village events including Christmas Open Houses was held on Nov. 7&8,
  • The Christmas Parade held Nov 29
  • Dash Before the Game Day Bash Run at 9 AM on Small Business Saturday, Nov 29
  • Small Business Saturday Nov 29, including passing out shopping bags
  • Christmas Tour of Homes was held December 6 from 4-7pm, included 10 stops, and it had the greatest turnout ever for this event!
  • Friendship Alley! Important Alley Update- we secured a grant from the Logan County Visitors Bureau to develop the alley next to the library where we can have outdoor seating for dining and entertainment downtown.  We hope to have this finished in the Spring of 2026!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time and resources this past year! We couldn’t have done it without you. We look forward to continuing partnerships with local organizations like the Village Council, Lion’s Club, Historical Society, the Piatt Castle, the Mac-O-Chee Castle, Ohio Caverns, and the Logan and Champaign County Chambers and Visitor’s Bureaus, as well as others, to improve our community and attract more visitors, benefiting us all.

Please support the WLBA by renewing your membership. We offer sponsorship packages to fit your needs and budget, with opportunities to showcase your business on mywestliberty.com. Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM at The Mad River Farm Market or The Liberty Gathering Place. We welcome members to join event planning and leadership roles. Your involvement is essential in keeping our village vibrant and a destination in West Central Ohio!

Respectfully Yours,

Your West Liberty Business Association Board of Directors:
