Festival Hours: 10am-10pm each Saturday Celebrate Ohio’s Freshwater Shrimp Harvest! Get your fill of mouth-watering seafood selections while enjoying a live music stage, multiple vendors and activities for the whole family. Explore live displays of fish, frogs, turtles and other native critters. Swing by the fish farm market for a taste of gourmet smoked trout products. Participate in the Trout Feeding Frenzy, sand castle play zone and our famous sturgeon pool, where you can pet Ohio’s largest native fish. Battle to win the Shrimp Peeling & Eating Contest, take home a souvenir t-shirt and enjoy the country atmosphere at the farm! Thu. Sep. 28, 3-8pm: "Pink Out" Breast Cancer Awareness EventSeptember 28 will be the Pink Out Event at Town Hall. A Health Fair which is free and open to the public in the Opera House will be offered from 3-7 pm. The Health screenings offered included: blood pressure checks, skin cancer screenings, Maze Hearing, Prescription Bliss, Peak Performance Holistic Health, Kayatin Chiropractic, Hickory Medical, Affiliated Dermatology, Fearless Strength and Conditioning, Homegrown Yoga and Pilates, Heaven's Dew, and Mary Rutan Health. In the northside parking lot the Mobile Mammogram Clinic will be set up to offer mammograms. A meal will be provided in the Firehouse for survivors, high school cheerleaders and football players along with the Little Tigers football players and cheerleaders from 6:30-7:30 pm. At 7:30 pm the Pink Out Event will take place at the Town Hall Gazebo on the north lawn. Ending with a survivor’s lap of the downtown decorated storefronts.

All 9 individual sponsored trees will be on display at the Town Hall Clerks Office from: 8am - 4pm (closed 12-1) on Mon. Tue. Thu. and Fri. and from 8am - 12 on Wed.
You can either stop in or call in a bid at 937-465-2716. Bidding will end on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 5pm. Come in and bid on your favorite tree - highest bid wins! All funds raised will go toward the non-profit West Liberty Business Association for the betterment of our community. Nov. 1-27, 2023 West Liberty Business Association Snowflake Basket Raffle - Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Dec. 13, 2023 - West Liberty Village Christmas Lights ContestEveryone living within the 43357 West Liberty Zip Code is encouraged to decorate the outside of their home for West Liberty's Annual Christmas Lights Contest. On the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 13, residents and village visitors are encouraged to walk or drive around the community to enjoy the #wlchristmaslights.
This year, there will be also be a West Liberty Business Association committee that will go around the village on the evening of December 13th to vote on all houses that have registered. Sat. May 18, 2024: WEST LIBERTY'S ANNUAL FIRE SALESWest Liberty's Annual Fire Sales are usually held the 3rd Saturday in May. Sales start early Saturday morning and continue through about 5pm.
Promote your fire sales in the Official Facebook Event. During the Saturday Fire Sales, the West Liberty Business Association provides port-o-johns for our visitors at 4 locations: CT Communications building (205 N. Detroit St.), Bethel Mennonite Church (416 Washington St.), near the old Tiger Hut (412 W. Baird St.) and Thoman's IGA (201 S. Detroit St.). There are also public restrooms at Town Hall and Lions Club Park. The "Fire Sales" refer to the town fire disaster of 1880. The fire started in a barn and spread through town destroying many businesses and several homes. It was the worst in village history, and the town rallied to support the residents and business owners who lost nearly everything in the fire. |
Sat. May 25, 2024, 10am-12pm: Splash Pad Opening DayThe Splash Pad Grand Opening is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. In 2024, that will be Saturday, May 25th from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM. The first 50 kids will receive goodie bags and the West Liberty Fire Department will be there with fire trucks, along with the Macochee Joint Ambulance and West Liberty Police Dept.

(West Liberty's Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration is typically held the last Saturday in June.) FIREWORKS begin at dusk at Lions Club Ballpark. . There are also softball games all day long at Lions Club Ballpark, and 10U, 12U & 14U baseball tournaments at Dodge Park. The West Liberty Fourth of July firework show is 100% funded by local donations, and we are in need of donations for the next show. To donate, visit The Peoples Savings and Loan Company in downtown West Liberty and ask to donate to an account set up on behalf of the Fourth of July fireworks show. Several downtown businesses also collect in their shops for the fireworks. |
