These residences have been selected by the Ohio EPA to have their water line visually inspected to ensure that we have no lead lines within the village. You may recall a few weeks ago, several crews canvassed the village, locating water service locations (curb stops). This information was conveyed to the Ohio EPA, and they chose the ones to be inspected.

A third-party crew will hydro-vac 2 holes at your curb stop in the yard. One hole will be on the village-owned side and the other will be on the customer side. After confirming the material, the holes will be backfilled with dirt and seeded.

Your yard will be put back to its original condition; they will not ask you to enter your home. You will not lose water service during this time and you will not be charged for this inspection. Any questions or concerns, please call the Water Plant Office at 937-465-2179.

Detroit St., West Liberty, Ohio 43357.  The hearing is to consider an application for a variance (BZA Case No 2026-001) filed by 21 and Co., LLC. 

The applicant is seeking a variance from Section 1145.01 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow the conversion of the existing single family residential dwelling located at 308 Reynolds Street, West Liberty, Ohio, into a multi-family residence consisting of three dwellings. Tax Parcel 20-144-12-06-003-000.

Starting May 4th - May 8th, there will be a crew from Arcadis in town doing some scouting.  This is for the ongoing project for verification of supply line material for the water system.  Soon, potholing will begin on a small percentage of water service locations throughout the village.  This scouting crew will only be looking for feasible curb stop locations at these selected properties. 

Once this list is compiled, a potholing company will come in the next few weeks. Using a vac truck, they will vacuum out holes on both sides of the curb box (water shutoff valve) in the yard. Once the service line material is verified, the holes will be refilled and seeded back to the original condition.  This process should only take a matter of minutes. 

Both the scouting and the potholing crews will be in company-marked vehicles and will have identification badges.  They will NOT be going into any homes.  The curb boxes are generally located within a couple of feet of the sidewalk or at the end of the driveway.
