The groundbreaking for the Sherman Ricketts Memorial Park Shelter House will be Tuesday, April 5th at 9:00 AM. The shelter house is being built by the Ohio Career Center. Everyone is welcome!
Sherman Ricketts Memorial Park location: 916 Sidney St. West Liberty, OH These pictures show the mess under the bridge at Lion's Park. A true good neighbor and West Liberty Lions Club member Jake Vitt was out there cleaning up the bridges that would be safer and not as dangerous for the kids. Sometimes it is the small things that make the biggest difference. If you see Jake Vitt, maybe tell him thanks for all his hard work and moving those cornstalks.
- Mayor Jill McKelvey Congratulations to the West Liberty-Salem Wrestlers making us all very proud of you by making it to district. These young men placed at sectionals and qualified to go to district (one as an alternate). This is an amazing accomplishment. Six wrestlers each in a different weight class is an awesome achievement for a small school like West Liberty-Salem. Our entire village is very proud of these young men:
120 lbs. Slayde Merriman 132 lbs. Jacob Griffith 150 lbs. Matthew Christison 157 lbs. Gabe McGill 215 lbs. Wylie Harbour And 144 lbs. Malachi Christison (placed as an alternate) A big thank you to Head Coach Andy Hartshorn and Assistant Coaches Mike Cooper and Ben Griffith for their commitment to these young men and helping them work toward their goals. #TigerProud |
