Christmas in the Village
“Light up the Village” Tractor Parade
SATURDAY, November 30, 2024, 6:00 pm
The West Liberty Business Association would like to invite you to help kick off the holiday season by entering a float in this year’s Christmas Parade. The parade will be Saturday, November 30th and will travel from the Lions Club Park to the Firehouse where the community will greet Santa Claus at the gazebo.
Our theme this year is “Light up the Village”. Think big, unique and beautiful! A lighted entry would be awesome but not required. It can be a decorated float, vehicle, TRACTOR, marching or walking unit, animals or most anything else you can imagine. Santa Claus will be a part of the parade, so no extra Santa's please. Lineup will begin at 5:00, and the parade will begin at 6:00 pm.
Each Parade float will stop for 30 seconds downtown for a special announcement to the community. The band will lead the parade again this year and will have the opportunity to showcase a song for the village downtown prior to continuing the parade route. Lineup this year will be in order of arrival with exceptions to emergency vehicles and the band.
There will be a panel of judges to vote on the best float, and the top three floats will win a monetary prize plus bragging rights for an entire year. Along with the parade, downtown shops will be open late so you can begin shopping for that perfect Christmas gift.
